What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

Internal Family Systems or IFS is a unique form of therapy that focuses on your internal “world” and how you interact with the different facets of yourself.  It can be a helpful model to better understand patterns that you find yourself in and how to change your inner landscape.

Have you ever said “a part of me wants to go for a walk but another part of me just wants to stay in bed?” With IFS we treat those parts of yourself as individual personalities. These parts have jobs, qualities and experiences that contribute to how you view yourself, how you behave and what you believe.

Within the IFS model there is also the belief that we all hold an inner Self who is wise, accepting and compassionate.  IFS therapy can help you more easily identify this true Self and heal from the inside out.

Together we can quickly help you identify your parts, develop relationships with them, make more space for Self energy and help you unburden from past experiences that no longer serve you.
